How am I using 57% Memory when I have 8GB RAM?

How is it possible to be at 57% usage in RAM when I have 8GB of RAM and only about 1GB of RAM is being used according to Task Manager? (The rest of the processes are a total of about 20MB more)

Im currently playing Space engineers which is using 3GB of ram, otherwise windows and a few chrome tabs are using up 5GB so that is fine. Soon you'll probably need 16GB of ram. One problem I had with only 8GB is that applications would randomly close due to insufficient ram so thats why I upgraded to 16gb
