PC Crashes Randomly (Usually not too long after startup)

Hey guys,

I'm running a PC I built myself about 3 years ago, and it's been acting up the last month or two. Sorry if this isn't the right thread for this post.

Almost everyday my pc crashes about 15-30 minutes after startup, usually during gameplay of any game. Though sometimes this happens during regular browsing.
During the crash, the screen freezes and the speakers emit a load clicking noise. Typically I have to hard reset, but occasionally the pc will restart itself (it reset itself just now after I ran malewarebytes).
I don't know if this is because I'm overtaxing my cpu and it's time to upgrade (I'll post my parts list below), or a registry issue, a virus, a software conflict. Maybe it's just time to scrap the pc.

The thing to note is that this usually only occurs once or twice a day. After the reset it usually smooth sailing. But on bad days this happens three or four times in a row. So I'm getting pretty exhausted by it.

If anyone has any experience with this issue I would so greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much
- Charlie

HIS Radeon R9 285 2GB Mini IceQ X² Video Card requires 500 watt minimum power supply.

The Raidmax is reviewed as " It's actually an Andyson. B series, it might be "overrated" or just slightly pushed. The B Series goes to 600w, but those guys have not been tested. B Series is mostly the same as the F Series which isn't the worst in terms of performance.

12v power is in the 432w range, so I wouldn't call it a 630w unit anyways. Caps are cheap too, I think it's CapXon, 2 year warranty also.

Most likely not a system killer. Just don't expect it to last long."

Thanks, I suspected my PSU wasn't up to snuff. The HIS gpu was a later addition and I have had some temperature issues in the past. Probably time to upgrade the PSU then.

But would an underpowered GPU cause this particular issue?
