Initially, i thought of getting a gtx 1060 since it was within my buget but i wouldnt mind spending few bucks more to future proof my pc.
Then my friends told me about screen tearing and other stuff which i was totally unaware of
so is there a way to avoid screen tearing?
Should i get gtx 1060 instead?

Solution
Vsync (on any monitor) and Gsync (only on gsync monitors) will eliminate tearing, at the cost of performance and input lag.

A 1070 will not cause more tearing than a 1060. Setting a framerate limiter can also help.
