I am currently looking at upgrading my current PC. I have around £550 to spend plus whatever I can get for the parts i'm replacing (not sure how that will be). I need help on whether the parts I plan to upgrade are worth it. I.e. if i spend £20 more for the CPU and get a large increase in performance I would prefer to do that rather than spending £20 less.

My current build is:
AMD FX-6300 six core processor
Nvidia geforce gtx 660
Asus M5A78L-M/USB 3 - AM3+ SATA2
8gb Kingston DDR3 1333mhz
450w corsair VS450
Standard cpu cooler

I plan to upgrade:
CPU: i5 6500 £185
Motherboard: MSI Mainboard H110 M £85
Ram: 16GB £85
GPU: RX 480 8GB £183

Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
450W should be enough for this components. In fact, rx 480 draws same amount of power as gtx 660. Problem is, Corsair VS are Tier 4 PSU, which means not too good. Plus it is already used. It may work just fine, or it may fail. You never know. If you are on tight budget, you can keep it. But changing it for a good quality unit anytime in the future is good plan. Here is a link that shows which PSU are good and bad: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html

Do you have any recommendations?
I've never build a PC before so do not know a lot. My current computer was a pre-built one.
