what mem-sticks to use for my Z400 which is server also? Do they have both mem-sticks for ecc & non-ecc? Confused....Thanks ;-)

According to page 12 of the quickspecs You can ONLY use ECC RAM on a Z400

YES, I have the quickspecs & saw what you saw/read. But I have 5x2g(10gb total) but is. The HP Z400 Tower I have has a 1x Xeon W3530. She is enough for me now for what I do. She can max out @ 24gb. Now I have no idea if it w/the/non-ecc or ecc. I do not need 24gb right now. But the 10gb in it now is enough for now. I want to max her out to get it out of the way. The ecc sticks are cheaper than the non-ecc's. I get the term of DIMM & UDIMM mixed up too...lol. I just get confused. w/what the terms mean & to use. Looks like I am in a world of hurt w/my own memory. ...lol...lol...lol. Too funny & yet frustrating. Thanks for helping ;-)... . Dave
