I have a Acer Aspire M3470G-UW10P with an upgrade 8gb of ram and a upgraded 350 watt psu.

I recently bough a gigabyte gtx650 2 GB but when playing games my PC will shutdown due to overdrawing on the psu. I intend on buying a 500 watt psu soon but is it possible to limit the amount of power my gpu draws so I can continue to use it for light gaming? It works fine when web surfing.

Solution
In your games if there is a FPS limiter, you can try lowering that to what ever you are comfortable with. Limiting the FPS in the game will cause the gpu to work less which may in return use less power.

Just a thought

Try turning on the FPS cap and lower the number to lets say 60?

You can I will try that

If it continues to crash, try lowering even more. If you are not a "perfectionist" like myself, and can enjoy 30 FPS, that would be the ideal spot for lowest power usage
