So currently i have:

Asus Z97-K (does this support the new 6th gen and 7th gen cpus? also does this support ddr4?)

i have a i5 4960k

no Graphic card

i have a decent power supply (gold standard)

so what do you guys reccomend? something future proof?

AZ97 will not support 6th or 7th gen CPUs and it does not support DDR4.

The smart answer is to add a discrete graphics card and stand firm for a couple years. Upgrade cooling and overclock if you need more CPU.
