I am very new to the forums so please forgive me for asking a very similar question but yet i have read at least 40 different yes and no answers, not all on tom'sHARDWARE. I made a boo boo and ordered a whole new build but before placing order i did not take in account for the clearance space in the corsair spec 01 for this hyper evo 212.

Can anyone that has a definite answer please help me? If the answer is no then i can just go pick up a smaller cooler before my order gets here next week and yes before it is said i understand that the specs for the to components do no match up by about 8cm's. With that said i have still heard numerous stories of it working and even pictures, just don't know if i will have to mod the case in any way.

Thanks in advance!

I have a Corsair 400c(http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-clear-400c-compact-mid-tower-case) and a hyper 212 evo. According to Corsair's website my 400c has 170mm, and your Spec 01 has 150mm(http://www.corsair.com/en-us/carbide-series-spec-01-red-led-mid-tower-gaming-case). The hyper 212 evo in my case only has about(roughly) 4mm between the door and the cooler. Sorry but it's not looking like it will fit, hopefully you can return it and get something a bit smaller.

Definite answer of no. Your case has a height clearance of 150mm, the Evo is 159mm. Short of punching a hole in the door of your case, you're not fitting it in.

If you want something better than stock fan, look at the Cryorig M9. It's about as much as or less than the Evo, comes in at 125mm and cools as well as the Evo but mounts much better.

If you want something a step up from there, look at the Cryorig H7. It's 145mm and very quiet.
