Ok so as the thread says, i have a GA-78LMT-USB3 mobo along with the FX-6300. I have a pretty decent cooler as well (Cryorig H7). I want to overclock my FX-6300 to a possible 4.4 ghz. At the moment i have it @4.1 ghz with a vcore voltage of 1.375. Now i have seen many, MANY conflicting reports about the viability of the GA-78LMT-USB3 in terms of overclocking. Some say its fine, some say it isnt. I'd like to have a straight and honest answer on whether i should leave the oc as it is or try to go higher with this board.

It's only a 4+1 power phase, so in the grand scheme of overclocking, that isn't very good. 8+2 or higher is what you really want. That said, that is more to push a 8-core overclock, so a 6-core might have a bit better luck, but in general, no. It does have a VRM heatsink that will help it a bit, but not a lot. 4.4 might not be possible, and in all reality, a few hundred mhz doesn't add anything to gaming ability, just creates so much more heat, instability, etc. I've pushed mine to 4.86hz, and while I could brag, it wasn't practical. The heat sound melt the ice caps. Sticking around 4.3 is good, and there wasn't any different in my games between the 2.

So do you think i should up the voltage a bit to around 1.390 and go for the 4.3 overclock or leave it at 1.375 and keep my 4.1 Ghz overclock. Ive heard something about not going over 1.4 for the vcore voltage and idk if i could maintain a stable 4.3 overclock at only 1.390 volts
