Excessive lag while gaming after cleaning case

I recently opened up my PC case and cleaned it out with a can of compressed air, but when I tried to start it it wouldn't. After several tries I finally got it to run and everything seemed normal, but now I notice that in games such as Guild Wars 2 and Overwatch I start to lag horribly in crowded areas and when there is lots of stuff happening on the screen. My FPS can even dip as low as 5 frames while I'm changing my point of view, whereas before the lowest it would ever get was around 20 frames, and that was only during times when there was a ridiculous amount of stuff happening on the screen like during world boss events. I've reseated the GPU several times, ran antivirus, checked my fans are running etc but I can't seem to find the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
