I have an older Intel Core i7 3770 @ 3.40GHz
RAM 16.0GB Single-Channel DDR3
Motherboard MSI Z77MA-G45
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 650 Ti GPU
SSD 232GB Crucial drive
I am looking to buy new motherboard to run the with the new Intel Core i7 7700K, new DDR4 RAM with something like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPU.
I don't want to spend out cash if I get little improvement. Would anyone advise me on whether this is a good time to upgrade my system or would I see just as much improvement on buying a new Graphics card / with motherboard only and leaving the rest as it is. Opinions would be appreciated. Many thanks Julie

Solution
Well your weakest link is your GPU, if you do your proposed Upgrade it will still be your GPU. From a gaming perspective a 7500/b250/480 or 1060 would perform better. For the same money

like supahos said. u cant get the ultimate cpu/gpu combo.
i still think the 3770 wont bottleneck a gtx 1070.
so go for it and later upgrade to ryzen 5 or price slashed kaby lake ;)
