N300 usb wifi adapter not working

Hello people of the internet. Just yesterday my wireless adapter started playing up. It seems to pick up my router but, for whatever reason, it doesnt want to connect to it. It pops up with an error message saying "unable to connect to this network." Any help will be appreciated.

Quick question, do you have proper access to sign in to router? Second, I am familiar with the N300. Go to device manager, find you adapter, uninstall then reinstall the driver. We need to start there. Third, not to jump the gun and I am going to assume you know this, we do not give any advice on how to gain access to a router short of getting your network card (device) up and going.
