Cant update bios for bootable usb

Hi
i make a bootable usb of winxp sp2 from here
My pc is Dell desktop old model u can say
System Manufacturer Dell Computer Corporation
System Model OptiPlex GX270
System Type X86-based PC
BIOS Version/Date Dell Computer Corporation A04, 5/17/2004
SMBIOS Version 2.3
Processor x86 Family 15 Model 2 Stepping 9 GenuineIntel ~2793 Mhz
Total Physical Memory 1,024.00 MB
Total Virtual Memory 2.00 GB


Kindly help is the tutorial is wrong or i cant update the bios to boot from usb. On F12 i got option & i select usb but no boot. same F1 to retry or F2 for setup

& can i run win 7 or 8 on this pc
2.0 processor 1gb ram 80gb hard

i still strongly suggest you consider getting a new system.
just keep checking craigslist or your local buy and sell and find yourself a good deal.

it'll be much more quicker in loading and multitasking.

i just think using an old computer is just impractical. but if you're just checking emails etc.. you're a lot better off using your phone to be honest =)

u need a new computer
go on craigslist and buy a used one for 200 bux

honestly no point in putting time on ur system.

but if u really want to.
you will need to format the usb into FAT32 and put a copy of the bios in.
restart. hold del and manually boot or change primary drive to boot usb
make sure u have room and everything is compatible.
when ever u mess around with bios' you're risking the whole set up.
