Should i buy the RX 470?

Hi :) i'm in a bit of a pickle here. I have a g4560, and i just need a GPU for my PC so i can game. I have been looking at the 1050 ti and the rx 470. The RX 470 has the best price to performance, but my friend is an Nvidia "fanboy" and he cares alot about the brand (I don't really like AMD that much either, but if it brings more performance then i'm up for it) so he will probably judge me for buying the rx 470, so i don't know what i should do :(

Don't concern yourself with what your friend thinks. Buy computer parts which offer the best performance for your budget. As long as they are reliable. So stick with a good board maker like MSI, ASUS, or Gigabyte.

It's just consumer parts. Not a belief system.
