Hi all, I'm doing a ryzen build soon but still unsure about my choices on ddr4 memory, apparently ryzen cpus don't support quad channels so I'm stuck with dual channels only. Thanks

Solution
Lower latency even by a point can drive the price up from $5-$50 or even more. Cas latency isn't as important as bandwidth. Yes hunter go ahead with those. If the lower cas latency is only $5 difference, do it. If it's a huge difference you wont miss out on anything and it's not worth that difference unless you're a percentage cruncher.

All ram is the same as long as it's a major brand.

Trident z performs like ripjaw performs like vengeance performs like dominator performs like ballistix.

2400 MHz is 2400mhz.

Go for the lowest cost per GB, or whatever ram looks good for you in your build. Don't listen to the hype train about specific companies.

Corsair, hyperx, crucial, gskill. There's probably a few others but stick to the big names for reliability.

I heard that Ryzen CPUs were not going to support quad channel memory thats why I chose to go with a dual channel kit, you can correct me if I'm wrong because I know nothing in depth with gaming memory. When I look through memory kits I get really confused because I have no idea what the values represent on them (C16,C15, those clock thingy 10-8-8-8 whatever) and prices fluctuate quite a bit in between them so I really need some good advice on it

Apparently g.skillz trident z is a very solid memory kit on tomshardware? I guess I can get those?

Hi stapler, sorry about this, I just want to quickly confirm something. A 4-stick memory kit (g.skill trident z 4x8gb) is dual channel and ryzen will be able to support all 32gb of those memory even though it has 4 sticks right? Silly question but I know very little about this.
