M.2 or SATA?

there are two types of m.2 drives.
SATA protocol and NVMe protocol.
I'd go (and did go) for M.2 SATA drive like Crucial MX300 or SanDisk X400.
You can have double the capacity of NVMe drives at the same price. They also a bit faster snappier than 2.5" drives for whatever reason.
