I overclocked i7 4770k @ 4.5ghz and when I tested it with prime95 then the temps went to 100c.
Should I delid cpu to get lower temps?

What CPU cooler are you using?
How is the airflow and dust condition in the case?
What is your ambient room temp?

Have you seen any actual, realworld performance benefit from this OC?
Have you ever done this before, on a non-critical part?
What is your fallback position, in case you destroy this CPU?
