The BIOS chip is a programmable ROM and provides an interface between the computer components.
When a board is released, the original BIOS does support all compatible processors at that time. Problem is that Intel (in our case) keeps building new processors, that need a BIOS update for working with the board.
I hope I was clear.
Another problem is that I can't identify the board's exact model.
You'd need a compatible CPU to install it and update the BIOS.
