What low-end motherboards support XMP?

Solution

Any Kabylake motherboard will run 2400mhz ram with that CPU. If you want to run something in XMP and higher speed ram you need a Z270 or Z170 motherboard. You won't be bale to overclock the processor despite it being an overclockable board, but it will run XMP memory up to around 3000 mhz. Beyond that you really need a K processor as you may need to make some minor changes to the processors settings for it to be stable.

None. XMP is limited to motherboards that can overclock. In the case of Skylake or Kabylake, thats Z170 and Z270.

Why do you need such speeds from a low end board?

That's not true. KabyLake CPU does not need Z series mobo for 2400 MHz RAM. B250 or H270 is enough.

No it is true. Kabylake supports 2400mhz ram natively, it does not need to set an XMP profile for it.

As long as we consider XMP, your answer is not even close to being true. Even a lowly H110 boards have XMP.

No, again you are incorrect.

While some low end boards may state XMP support all they allow is the profile related adjustment of timings which is mostly useless. Boards that are not Z170 or Z270 will not run XMP profiles increasing clock speed which is what the OP is asking for. XMP is an overclock profile, boards lower than those cannot overclock.

Please do research before you start calling people out.
