Hi, quick question.

Will I see a difference going from a early 2011 13 mbp (2.3 i5 2415m) to a 2011 13 or 15 mbp with an i7 quad core processor? The main task I'll be doing is recording old console gameplay. Will I see any difference for this task, will it help having a quad core for this even though my comp. has hyper threading?

I'm currently waiting for ssd and ram to come so I can upgrade.

It should be helping a bit with multitasking as by setting aside with the recording then you can allocate cores to recording but at the same time it will be more harder for processor to work as it is 4 cores with 8 threads, but threads are like cores cutted into half so it wont be as that effective 8 psychical cores when comparing to 8 threads.

Thanks for the reply. So even if all I have open is obs to record, it will utilize the 2 more cores? Or will I only start sering the difference when I am doing many things at once, recording, internet, etc etc.
