Is bending your SATA connector dangerous?

I recently installed my hard drive into it's bay, but it looks like my SATA and power cables are bending quite a lot, and it makes me uncomfortable. Is this sort of bending dangerous? Will this reduce speeds/damage my hard drive or cables?

they can bend quite a bit. wouldnt worry about it at all. you'd know if a cable wasnt working.

you could get a angle sata cable to be more safe .

i little bend wont hurt it is is a curve one but it you try to go directly to 90 degres angle that could break it . post a picture of it .

They sell sata cables that come with a 90 degree connector if your worried about it. I don't like the idea of bending them to far if they are not made that way. Kinking a cable could reduce performance i think. You never want to kink a cat 6 lan cable but that is a little different on how they are made. There is also a difference between a bend and a kink. They are designed to bend a little bit.

My advice is if it is working and you are not getting a reduction in performance quit looking at it it will only make you worry more for no reason.
