what ram should i buy for my G5080

hi there,

i have a lenovo G50-80 with i3-4030 cpu and 4 Go ram

i wanna upgrade its ram to 8 or 12 Go to work on android studio

so i want an advice on if i should buy a stick of 4Go ram to get 4+4=8

or 8Go ram to get 4+8=12

also what brand should i buy, here in my country ADATA ram is the most popular

First, it is not an absolute requirement but it is better to use matched pairs of RAM sticks when memory is running in dual channel.

Next, it is unclear as to how much RAM your laptop will support. This service manual

shows that the motherboard can have either one or two RAM slots. If it is one slot then 8GB max and 16GB max for two RAM slots. You would have to either open the laptop to check or determine your motherboard model number using a free program like CPU-Z

Without knowing which country or what is your budget it is very hard to make brand suggestions. ADATA is okay ram.
