Ok i recently upgraded my pc from an EVGA GTX 950 SC+ to a EVGA GTX 1050 FTW. With my testing, the 1050 had a 5-9% avg higher than the 950 in games like GTAV, BeamNG Drive But in MSI Kombustor the 950 outperformed the 1050 by 30-40 fps, so i was wondering if i could flash my 950 with an EVGA GTX 950 FTW Bios, I'm pretty sure the cooler can handle it.

Specs

Motherboard: MSI Z170A Gaming M5

PSU: Corsair CX550M

Drives: 1X Seagate 3.5 in 750gb 7200 RPM, 1X HGST 2.5 in 500gb 5600 RPM, 1X OCZ Vector 180 SSD

CPU: Intel Core i5 6600k 4.5 ghz.

CPU Cooler: all that i know is that it is an arctic Freezer air cooler :/

GPU: GTX 1050FTW or GTX 950sc+ flashed with FTW Bios.

Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-02 Redshift.

I hate to tell you but 950 to 1050 is not an upgrade. Yes the 1050 is a better performing card in most cases but not enough to count as an upgrade. Considering the CPU you have, why are you messing with 2gb budget videocards? So in the end no bios is going to change things. The 950/1050 and 960/1050 Ti and 970/1060 are how it breaks down in terms of performance in the last two Nvidia generations.
