Hey guys! I always mine bitcoin on my GPU and i never mined on my CPU because i didn't want to degrade the chip under full load, however i recently overclocked my 6700k to 4.7 GHz and the temps while mining with 4 threads are 50-60. Would this degrade the CPU a lot if i mine for a few days straight at a time? Or would the difference be unnoticeable. I plan on keeping the CPU for a good 3-4 years before switching.

Should be fine, as long as the voltage isn't too high, too.

My question is why are you even mining with a "normal" PC anymore? It's not like the old days when you could get away with that and actually make a profit. You actually LOSE more money than you make from just mining with a normal consumer level PC. The real money is made with ASIC's and mining farms, these days.

I mine on a service called NiceHash miner where people buy our mining rate per hour. Not like where you mine a block and profit. If we mine a block our buyer gets it but we always get paid constantly even if its only 2-3 dollars a day i still profit since electricity prices are low here. I will buy a asic once i have enough.
Also is 1.3v good?
*Im using a 1070 which is pretty power efficient.
