I''m Having Issues With the Power LED on the Front of my PC.

I just installed a new motherboard (MSi B150 GAMING M3) into my PC. The two front leds light up on my case when it boots up but as soon as I log into my Windows account the power led turns off but the HDD led remains active. It's a bit of a last resort coming here. I can't seem to ask this question in Google without getting nothing but results about people not being able to power their PC at all. I've updated all drivers, as far as I know at least, and can't think of anything to try to fix this. Cheers.

Solution
Hi, if anyone else is having this problem i have found a fix. Go to the MSI Gaming App directory (where it is installed) and delete the application MSI_LED from the directory and restart your PC.

It's possible but you may have Power and HDD LED cables + and - connections flipped on your motherboard. I'd try flipping the cable around and seeing what happens. I've done this before on accident and it ended up with me having the HDD light on almost all the time. But after flipping the cable it worked perfectly.

I just took all the wires out and put them back in with the user manual in hand. I can't be more sure now that they're in the right places. It's so odd. I don't know why logging into Windows would turn an led off. I've looked high and low and can't find any solution. This certainly isn't my only issue with the board. I'm pretty close to sending it back and getting a different make and model. Again.

I cannot state it with anymore conviction that the wires are inserted, in what I am being told by MSi in the user manual and that video, in the right place. Unless there's more to inserting an led power wire than just getting the polarity and position right. Even if I am putting the wires in wrong place presumably that would mean they wouldn't work at all as opposed to working fine until I log onto Windows.

idk, the only other thing I can think of is there is a BIOS setting I noticed earlier on my msi board that mentions something about power LED I believe. It's set to "blinking" by default. check under power saving category.

Thanks. I'll have a look. I'm gonna give it rest for now. If I get it working I'll post in here.

I have removed the MSI Gaming app and the Front Power LED light has turned on again after booting. The newest version of the Gaming app turns off the Front Power LED light for some reason?

I tried to play with the settings but it did not help. The only LED i could control was on my RX480. There were 2 other LED settings (Audio light and Motherboard mystic light) but changing the settings to OFF or Blinking did not have any affect on the LED's...
