ASUS Sabertooth X99's DRAM_LED is lit red

I recently bought all the parts for my first rig and, through other hurdles, eventually built the computer. However, once I turned it on, the fans, the liquid cooler, the GPU, etc. turned on as well, but the motherboard did not boot into the BIOS. On further inspection, the DRAM_LED was a solid red for a while and did not go away through other means of tweaking and other "solutions" listed on forum threads, fix stories, etc.

I tried resetting the CMOS, re-seating the CPU, loosening the liquid cooler, switching around/taking out the both sticks of RAM individually, I bought new RAM sticks and those did not work either, I tried changing the screws on that holds the motherboard to the case, loosening those screws as well. wiping down the RAM sticks with alcohol, using the MemOK! button, trying my best to wipe the RAM slots with alcohol, and finally switching around inputs into the power supply.

The motherboard itself is functional, other lights on the board light up when the power supply is flicked on and cycles through the CPU_LED, but doesn't stay solid red on that LED.

Lastly, for the POST, I believe the beeps (one long beep followed by three) indicate that no memory can be detected or another set of beeps (one long beep followed by two) no VGA detected, although my GPU uses HDMI rather than VGA.

If it isn't already clear, I want to figure out a solution to fix this RAM error or something else that is affecting the RAM.

My Specs:
Intel Core i7-6800K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor
NZXT Kraken X61 106.1 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler
Asus Sabertooth X99 Motherboard
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Asus GeForce GTX 980 4GB STRIX Video Card

Don't know what you previously tried as solutions, but make sure you have the RAM in the correct slot as listed in the manual. Start with just one stick only also. For example, on my motherboard it requires me to use DIMM Slot A2 first, since I'm using 1 8gb stick.

I tried using both sticks in RAM in the recommended RAM slots as stated on my manual, which yielded no reaction when using the MemOK! button.

No, I just posted the wrong CPU, sorry about that lol. The CPU is compatible, I had previously gotten a different motherboard for a different build so I must've copied that information by mistake. I'll fix it in the main post.

I was going to say, that's a $600 mistake right there. I'm sure it's happened to someone.

if it won't boot with all hard drives removed, gpu removed, and 1 ram stick in the correct slot, all connectors in the correct place(you need 24pin atx in mb, 8or4pin cpu power in mb, and the JFP1 header with the correct connectors in it)especially with a cleared CMOS... that only leaves the motherboard and power supply

after all of the troubleshooting we've done(assuming it was all done), all it could possibly be is the power supply or the motherboard.

only thing I didn't touch upon was cpu. I assumed it was seated correctly with no bent pins, and I didn't tell you to check because I was trying to eliminate the need for you to reapply thermal paste and all that.

wait... does that cpu have integrated graphics? if not... my bad.

now connect the gpu in the correct slot as listed in the motherboard manual, connect the power cable for your gpu, connect display cable to gpu's display port, and try to boot
