Hey guys, so I've got a chioce between two PCs, and I was wondering which one would be better overall for gaming. I'll be playing games like BF3, BF4, Planetside 2, LoL, MWR etc. Thanks!
First PC:
A8-5600k APU @3.6GHz
GTX 560Ti
8GB RAM
500GB HDD

Second PC:
i5 750 @2.7GHz
16GB RAM
GTX 560Ti
500GB HDD + 160GB HDD

A8 has better processor in this case... The A8 has better fabricating process (32nm or 28nm vs 45nm). Doesn't matter; none of these builds give good experience anyways.

For the same price, this will be better.

No way that the a8 is better than the i5. Also how do you know what's the price? Maybe these are used builds

I'll definitely consider it, but I'm still curious as to which PC would be better in my original question. I may just build the one you suggested, but like I said, still curious.

The a8 is hands down better.
+ the fact bits running on a chipset with sata 3 & USB 3 whereas Intel socket 1156 is truly ancient.

That said neither are good solutions at all for current gen gaming.
Neither is the 560ti , beaten by a lowly 750ti or a RX 460 fairly easily.

Ok, so the A8 IS better. Alright, thanks. The reason I was considering the i5 750 PC was because it has 16GB of RAM. What do you think?

The i5-750 is older but it still performs better than the a8 in games. The thing is that it won't matter because both of these computers have a gtx 560 ti which is the limiting factor.

Probably none of them still.
1) 16GB RAM is only good if you're using VR, which you probably would not use an *cough* old *cough* i5 for.
2) GTX 560 Ti is still not good.

The i5 750 & socket 1156 are circa 2008/2009 mate - not a tech I would buy into now unless it was just stupidly cheap.

The a8 & socket fm2 are circa 2012 - they're both old & will not be great performers now.
The a8 setup at least will support current hardware much much better than the Intel setup.
The 560ti however is still old & a weak GPU for current gaming.

How much are these systems costing ??
