Mouse moves to upper left

Windows 7 not ALT+tabbing, not connected to a tablet of any kind desktop mouse keeps jumping to upper left of screen will not move back down except a token effort and immediately returns to top left. Looks jumpy when trying to move mouse b/c it responds but keeps resetting itself to top left. HOW TO FIX please it's so annoying and all the answers iv'e found have to do with a tablet being plugged in or some weird alt+tab glitch. not doing either of these so idk why it keeps happening only fixes semi-permanently when i reset computer

If you have a digitizing tablet (Wacom, etc.) and lay the stylus on it, it could cause the behavior described here.
