I want to buy a cheap but good performeance GPU . GTX780 or GTX 590 's performence is good enough for me . But they are old cards , is there any weakpoint for old cards?

I just bought a used gtx 770 for around 100$, worst decision I made. It worked fine for a week then it started dying and now it died. No display, blank screen.
