Unable to detect SSD

So, I was installing a new SSD to my Macbook Pro. It got stuck on installation OS screen for over 3 hours without progress, so I turned it off. Now when I plug it in, I can't detect the SSD anymore. I also try plugging it in my desktop, but the device management also doesn't detect it nor the BIOS. I've tried SATA ports and even a USB to SATA adapter. I also don't think it's dead because I hear sound coming from the SSD. Any suggestions?

This has happened TWICE to two SSD. (Sandisk Ultra II)
Is it possible that maybe my MBP did something to the SSD and now it is just "hiding" and the computers are unable to detect it? Or was there a chance that the SSD somehow got fried while installing which is why it got stuck? The SSD is less than a year old.

Try this before diagnosing it as a MB problem :

Create a installation media ( Windows ) and go to cmd using repair option

Type the following in cmd

" diskpart "

" list disk "

- Now select the appropriate disk by doing the following -

" Select disk X "

"X" is replaceable with 0,1,2,3,...

" clean all "

It repairs bad sectors . Sometimes works on HDDs , i am not very sure if it will work on SSDs though .
What are the chances of SSD s failing?

Just tried this and unfortunately it still does not detect the SSD. Situation looks grim and I'm guessing the MBP fried the SSD somehow.
