I recently purchased a new 3rd party battery for my Toshiba P750 PSAY3U-0LF01H. The laptop will not boot on the new battery past the Toshiba splash screen. My current battery is a 3rd party battery and boots the laptop up with no problems. I have tried holding the power button down as suggested by the forums, to no avail.When I try to boot with the new battery, the Toshiba splash screen comes up and the goes to a black screen, wit a cursor in the upper left hand corner. Any suggestions?

Hi habumach,
I suggest that you try removing the battery, directly connect the power cable (without any battery) and check if the laptop boots successfully or not. If it boots on direct power then you might have received a faulty battery (the chances of this happening are skim). If the system still doesn't boot it might be more or less a system OS issue and you can try applying a fix for it. I suspect this is what is happening currently.
