Video card: Nvidia Geforce GTX 660

I was playing a video game when all of a sudden my screen turned black, the sound stuttered continuously and after 5 mins I restarted the computer, after restarting the computer would boot but there would be no display. I opened the case and the fans on the video card are running, I connected my monitor to my motherboard which has a video card in it which worked fine. I went through the BIOS and the video card wasn't even recognized as being plugged in. I unplugged my video card and then plugged back in and even moved it to a different PCI slot with no success. Any help would be awesome!

Solution
Either dead card or power supply issue. Test the card in another system, if it works there, replace the power supply in yours and try it again.
