as title long story to cut it down but on one of my ram slot in my sabertooth x58 started to fire while one of my ram was in it quickly turned it off i assumed my motherboard fried or something or least that slot? rested it for an hour and decided if its probably dead mind as well try so i powered it on with no ram inserted after a 20 seconds or so it caught fire and did the same. powered off assumed its really gone now but waited longer and tried one last time for safe measure i guess and no fire this time then decided to try it a bit more with one slot of ram i in an unaffected slot and it actually started normally . should i be worry? or should i cut my loses now and part out my stuff and build a new system?
p.s i have had many bsod with this for the past year or so such as bad pool header, iqrl equal or less, memory management, physical dump memory, etc a long list but you get it and always assumed it was ram issue and was doing ram test to see if it was it or not. i have run mem test86 and had lover 65k+ errors was able to do memtest again after the fire incident and had like 7k or so errors which im assuming was cus of the fire not sure if it was a faulty motherboard and cause the fire? its about 6 years old now. sorry for a ong post and thanks in advance if you actually read this

Now the board may of not be fault it may be the ram because I remember seeing someone motherboard melt the ram slot and the board got toasted. Now the choice is up to you I would just get a new mobo and new ram because if you where happy with the performance then I would leave it. Now if you are not happy with the performance anymore or just want to build a whole new system for The upgrade/latest stuff then do it maybe you can try Ryzen If you build a new whole system.
