Hi,

I have built my first PC, specs are:

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: MSI B150 Gaming M3 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Memory: Kingston HyperX Fury Black 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4-2133 Memory
Storage: Western Digital Blue 3TB 3.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 8GB Video Card
Case: Corsair SPEC-03 Red ATX Mid Tower Case
Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA P2 750W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply
Wireless Network Adapter: TP-Link TL-WN881ND PCI-Express x1 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi Adapter
Monitor: AOC e2460Sh 24 inch LED Monitor

Everything seems to work fine, fans work, leds light up etc etc, however there is no signal to the monitor, I have moved ram slots, taken out the gpu so that it only uses the motherboard graphics and taken out the network adapter but still nothing.

The cpu starts up, however there is no image after.

Any clues?

I do NOT have an optical drive

Solution
first off, remove some variables by...

removing gpu, removing all hard drives, remove network adapter, and only using 1 stick of ram(put it in the correct slot listed in the motherboard manual, it's not always the first slot)

connect display cable to motherboard's display port, boot it up and report back
