Windows Update(?) & 'Shutdown' returns to login screen

Hi all,

Last night, I noticed when shutting down my rig, it returned to the login screen - almost like a 'restart', but marginally faster (it was ready for me to log in in about 2 seconds)

Power management settings showed no surprises, and CMD shutdown commands still turn everything off as intended.

Looking through Windows Update shows an Adobe update, and a couple of Windows Security updates installed on the 25th.

Is this a known issue? Any suggested fixes for this issue?

I've no problem running a clean install if it's easiest, but I assume there has to be a quick & easy fix....
