no display after CMOS clear

Hello,

Last night I tried to clear my CMOS after a long night of various PC problems. So I turned off the PC, moved the jumpers to the 2 clear pins, waited about 10 seconds, then moved it back and turned the PC on. Now I get no dvi signal, but my keyboard and mouse still light up. I can't even get to the bios. I highly doubt it's any individual component as I was using it right before clearing CMOS (though i'm not totally ruling it out).

Tested to see if it was a monitor problem, and the monitor still works perfectly with other computers.

Does anyone know what to do?

Solution
I got my newly ordered build put together on Friday night, it booted and everything was good first try, then I tore it down to tidy up cable routing, and in the process bent a pin on a usb header, somehow frying data to every single usb port on the motherboard. lol sht happens. I'll be extra careful next time

Removed all 3 hard drives and GPU - still no signal.

Not sure if this is normal - but when my PSU is plugged in, switched on, but not spinning, my keyboard will still light up, and won't stop unless I switch off PSU.

only possible culprits left then are motherboard, power supply, and RAM. you do have the RAM in the correct slot as instructed in the motherboards manual, correct? since sometimes it isn't just the first slot.

I've got 2x4gb ballistix sport ddr3 sticks in each slot, i've tried reseating them but that's about it.

try 1 at a time in the slot listed in motherboard manual. if the first one doesnt boot, try with the other. if both dont work, I highly doubt it's the RAM because both aren't likely to fail. that means it would then be down to the power supply and motherboard

well then, assuming nothing is connected incorrectly, it's either your power supply or your motherboard. it sucks... but on the bright side, atleast you have narrowed it down to those two things. the power supply can be tested. google it. you should be able to figure out which one it is and get it replaced.

Guess i'll have to do that. Thanks for your help.

The thing that upsets me the most is it was working just last night when I was trying to reformat, then I got these weird windows errors and I ended up trying to reset CMOS and now i'm apparently screwed.
