Dear fellow tweakers ..

I have an I5-4690k now stable at 4.4Ghz, 1.2v and running properly (half a year ..), now I just bought another CPU cooler and I want to overclock it further to 4.6 / 4.7Ghz. . That's my goal.

I want to run at 4.6 or rather 4.7Ghz but I get a BSOD or freezes .. even if I set the core voltage to 1.3V! because I know if you go above that it becomes tricky because it's kinda the limit for the Core voltage ..
I haven't touched the cache clock and voltage.. here is a screenshot of the stress test 4.4Ghz.

CPU cooler, Cryorig H5 Universal.
CPU, I5 - 4690K
Mobo, Z97-K
RAM, 2400MHz Corsair Vengeance Pro Gold
GPU, GTX 1070 G1 Gaming.

Well i can get it @4,548Ghz.. But hmm i think i can achieve higher though.. :(

Of course, you can, IF... you raise the vcore past safe levels.
How much do you really need that last multiplier?

Will do.. What do I set the offset to and the max turbovcore thing?

need it for livestreaming and gaming.. don't know if it will benefit much.. ^^

also what about the cache Frequency and Voltage any sugestions? it's now @stock..

In windows, select balanced performance with a cpu range from perhaps 20% to 100%.
IN the bios, look for something like adaptive voltage; the names differ by motherboard.

As to other options, I do not fiddle with them.
But if you want to, find an overclocking guide for your particular motherboard.

Hmm ah i did what you said 20 - 100% in energy settings

Don't really know about these adaptive settings... And well.. The hardware monitor is wrong though...

Well it turns out to be pretty strange, got 200 ofset and 300 as boost.. so it sets the base voltage to 1.215v and the maximum goes up to 1.333v so it's acting strange in my eyes or is this completely normal?
