Samsung 960 EVO NVMe (1TB) compatibility

Hi,
I have this Z77A-G45 motherboard https://msi.com/Motherboard/Z77AG45.html#hero-overview . Will it be compatible with this SSD Samsung 960 EVO NVMe (1TB) ?

You could use it for storage would require a pci-e to m.2 adapter. Would not be able to use it as a boot drive as the board does not support booting to an NVME drive.

Also the 960 EVO NVMe could run at half it's maximum speed due being constrained by PCI-Express 2.0 x4 instead of PCI-Express 3.0 x4 depending on the CPU installed and which slot it is plugged into.

The short answer is that it would be a complete waste of money as you would have toforce it down to sata interface to boot with your board.

Just get the 850 EVO 2.5 drive.
