Server connect to internet

Hello!

I have small server that i use as storage in my firm. I get my internet connection over WiIF antena that is connected over USB and my server is connected over LAN to my PCs. Can i route Internet over to server so my others computer have internet connection aswel. Server is set on static IP of 10.0.0.1.

pretty sure can do it in windows especially 10

but never had a server so totally in the dark over what os you might be using

assuming it could be windows server lol since its called server but might not be

I use Windows 7 on work. There is option to share a Internet connection from PC but when i do that i can't access my server anymore.

i believe in windows 7 to share a wireless connection you need third party software

like virtual router

which is free

in windows 10 you dont need to do it that way its part of the operating system

I don't need a hotspot or access point for more WiFi devices i have all PCs connected via LAN cable. i want to share my WiFI connection that i get over USB port to my LAN to server and from there to all others PCs connected on it.

If your internet connection was coming in to the server on one of the nic's you might be able to enable Internet Connection Sharing.

Yes...that server can distribute the signal to your other PC's.

It can be the actual router.

So set it up as described, then a physical switch to connect the other wired systems.

Personally, I would do option 2.

Option 1 requires that the PC and the server be turned on to distribute the signal.
Option 2 requires only that the server be turned on to distribute the signal. Let the Server be the server.

That doesent work ICS. I get internet connection to other PCs but i dont have access to server storage. Is it cos its set to 10.0.0.1 IP?

#2 does away with ICS.
The Server2012 does actual router functionality.
