I have a huge problem that i tried to troubleshoot / fix on my own but up until now i didn't find out anything. My GPU keeps crashing my Pc if I start putting it under load. In idle mode it doesnt do anything bad it just runs like ever before. If I start a game (tested with RS6 Siege, Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 4) it pushes itself up and I hear some squeeking from the powercable on the GPU (I tried other cables, adapters etc). When I hear the noise usually the screen goes black (monitor turns off) and the sound stops, the gpu ramps the fan on 100%. Hard reset is needed

I tried: Different drivers, no drivers, old drivers, latest drivers, windows drivers. Nothing

Uninstalled all Microsoft Runtimes (Direct X, .net Famework) Nothing

Tried swapping on 2nd PCIe lane. Nothing

Tried Ram in second channels. Nothing

Cleared cmos and stopped CPU OC's. Nothing

Watched temps, load and power draw from GPUz and there was no overheating. The power draw and load were usually at 85-90% when the pc crashed.

I will take the gpu apart and look at it for black spots or other things + cleaning it. And maybe a bios flash

I dont know what to try anymore as the error occured out of the blue and everything worked fine days ago. I will post my system here.

Windows 7 x64 Sp1
Amd FX 8320 8x 3.5 GHz
ASRock 970 Extreme 3 R2.0
HyperX Fury 1866 DDR3
Seasonic S12 II 620W 80+ bronze
Seagate s1000 1TB hdd
inno3D GTX 780ti founders ed. (I bought it second hand so it has no warranty and its a bit older than 2 years, but well maintained)

Please help I dont have onboard or chip graphics, so i need the GPU. (I also got no spare/old parts or money for new parts)

My whole Pc is almost new. I bought all components a few months ago and assebled them. The PSU first came DOA and i got a new one. But the only part that isnt new is the GPU

Ok I actually have news: I used DDU to clean the driver sector and installed 376.33. as always GPUz running and game in windowed mode. I tested Rs6 Siege in low settings and same resolution and it didnt crash. Then i changed most things back and it still worked for a few minutes. Then I got the same error. While playing I watched the Sensor readings. Most of the time, it showed me ;PerfCapReason (Performance capping readon) as Pwr or Therm. So it might actually be overheating.

What could possibly cause the electric buzz/squeaking noise? I checked the plugs and the pins at both cable and GPU. I didnt see anything wrong with them. It obviously has to do with the higher voltage and bigger power draw, could dust in the spots between cause it? + thermal limits reached

Sounds like coil whine, which just happens, unlikely to be the cause of the problem tbh.

I suspect the card is faulty, as ive seen this before. If its still under warranty they should replace it.

As I wrote in my request above, I bought the card second hand, it is a bit over 2 years old and warranty voided.

The card worked without any problem until 24th of February. It just randomly started while playing normal like I do always. Since that I never had the opportunity to get it back to normal running state, it works, but under full load it just dies off. I dont think it is faulty, I try to test the card with 1. external Psu 2. in another system 3. other card in my system. Then we know more

I tested a bit more, the card seems to be instable from a specific limit. When i throttle down and set Maxtdp to 60% and Maxtemp to 60° it stays on longer but i dont know how long. The coil whine is there the whole time but intensifies really hard when under load.
