Need GPU help

I upgraded my Gpu from a GT 730 to a 1050 ti. I put in my computer and when I put my hdmi into the card, I see nothing.It also doesnt glow or spin. When I put the hdmi into my computer, there are black bars windowing my screen. Please help, im new to PC.

I mean the power cables from the psu to the card inside the pc. And is it in the motherboard well? I think you should hear a click when you put it in.

there is also a six pin connector on it, should i plug that in?
