£3000 to spend on a new computer, looking for the best setup for gaming and rendering, what components would you use? Go!

(Waiting to see what Nvidia are going to announce later though)

If Nvidia releases the 1080ti, you can use that instead.

Sounds like a plan.
Man I'm so jealous, whenever I buy a card and a better one comes out my mind is going 'I MUST HAVE IT' and then I get a discounted cost from suppliers too since I run a store, but my wallet says no. ;.;
Oh the sufferings of being a PC enthusiast, probably going to wait for the 1180ti or something. :(

Another three days give or take until Ryzen reviews are officially out and i'll get your parts list on the road. :)

For a mix of the two tbh the 1800x has got you covered, its gaming performance is actually pretty poor in comparison (last comment was before reviews), but the value aspect of rendering as well as providing a good platform for gaming still makes it a better choice.
Wait a few more days for the 1080ti aftermarket cards to come out and i'll make a list.
