Suggestions for upgrading my gaming rig performance

My budget is under 500$

Computer specs at the following:
OS: Windows 10 64bit
CPU: AMD FX-8370 @4.3ghz
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 480 Gaming 4g
MOBO: MSI 970 Gaming
RAM: 4gb ddr3 (x2)
PSU: 1000w
Storage: 1tb hdd
Monitor: 60hz 7ms response time 1920x1080 no freesync

I'm focused on getting a solid above 60 fps performance in modern games like BF1 1080p with settings maxed (with some optimization off course). I was thinking maybe upgrading my CPU to i5-6600k but that leads to compatibility problems with motherboard socket and stuff. I'm not sure but suggestions regarding maximum gaming performance would be helpful.
