My knowledge about PWM fans and motherboard fan connectors are that if i installed them(PWM fans) to the CPU fans connector on the motherboards they will have PWM functions. Is it correct?

I have bought Cryorig QF120mm fan which have PWM functions and i would like to intall them to my motherboard (MSI H97 GAMING 3) have 2x 4-pin CPU FAN connectors and 3x 4-pin SYSTEM FAN connectors. So, my motherboard will only allow 1 pwm fans right? because one of the connector is being occupied by my CPU's heatsink.

And after i installed my QF120 will work with PWM functions automatically right?

Solution

Well you could do a get am 4 pin splitter And put it on either one of your PWN enabled headers on...

OK, i will save money up and buy the PWM hub.. but is it really the only way to makes my fan have pwm functions? So in that sense, i will only have one fan that will work with PWM for now? Am is understanding you correctly?

Well you could do a get am 4 pin splitter And put it on either one of your PWN enabled headers on the moderboard but from my understanding ur want to use all in all 6 fans in pwn mode? Then the main consern is the amp total of the fans and how much amp the moderboard PWN header can supply.
Therefore I recommend getting that hub and use a PWN 4 pin cable from the hub to CPU or CPU OTP header fan it should work without any problems and download a program called speedfan or you can control them thru the bios on ur MSI motherboard and set both CPU CPU OPT to PWN support if they are not enabled
