Crossfire Lag Issue

Hello, I have two RX480s running in dual-config Crossfire. They both function fine, but when playing GTA V I notice it dips in frame rate, is there a fix for this beyond just disabling Crossfire? Also when dragging a window or exiting a game/window I notice a ghost-image lags behind wherever I drag it and only creates more layers as I do so. It does not affect my performance, but it is quite annoying, any assistance you can provide will be greatly appreciated!

when you CF (or SLI) cards your total vRAM is the lowest among the cards. So in your case, you system acts like there is only 4GB of vRAM. it's replicated among cards and the extra 4GB on the 8GB card are simply not used.
for a 1080p@60Hz there is no reason to use anything over RX 480 4GB (GTX 1060 6GB).
for 1080p@144Hz or 1440p@60Hz - GTX 1070
for 1440p@144Hz or higher resolution - GTX 1080
The above list is kinda "universal". IMHO both GTX 1060 6GB and RX 480 8GB are pointless cards for gamin. RX 480 4GB does exactly the same job on 1080p at much lower price and none of those 3 cards is really suitable for 1440p.
yes, there is a fix. not sure you are going to like it.
If you need more power than single RX 480, sell them and get whatever answers your perfromance requirements (1070/1080 atm)

Multi GPU solutions (be it SLI or CF) have long problems list.
Some of them can be (but not always) fixed with drivers.
Some of them can be (but far from always) addressed by game dev.
* the above are usually: general multi GPU support, crashes, stuttering, freezes.
Some of them can not be solved at all as it's by design - high input lag, higher CPU load, high heat output etc.

I have an 8GB and a 4GB, the second is a card I had previously so I thought why not Crossfire them. But you would suggest to just stick with one? Also, I have tried to reach out to AMD, so if there is no help there it sounds like that may be my only option.
