Hey guys,

Recently I purchased "For Honor" and haven't been able to play multiplayer for reasons I'm not sure of. I contacted their support, and they suggested I attempt port-forwarding, as that is usually the solution. Problem being, I live in an apartment complex where I do not have access to the modem. I contacted the ISP, and they told me they do not allow port forwarding in their complexes as it poses a security concern. I'm not sure what my options are at this point... They basically told me "if you can't do port fowarding, you're outta luck. Sorry." I've looked all around and can't seem to find a solution... Is using a VPN a feasible solution? ... I've seen multiple posts suggesting you can do add ports without direct access to the modem, but I'm afraid that may get me in trouble. Any help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated.

Just some basic info, I'm running Windows 10, and my ISP is Pavlov Media. If you need any more info to help me out, just ask. Thanks ahead of time!

Solution
You can use a vpn that gives you a fixed non shared ip address. This is not a common thing so you need to find a ISP that has a data center in a city close to you and has this feature. You do not want to go long distances to reach the VPN data center since that adds latency.
