Okay, I have a motorola sbg6580 provided by my ISP. Aside from the fact it has the most confusing port forwarding setup I have ever used. Aside from the fact it's the most cancerous and temperamental device I have ever used, I need help with two things.

1) How the blazes do you port forward on this thing correctly? Every time I try the ports in question remain closed.

2) What do I do when every time I try to edit or open a port I get a grey screen that reads "Error converting one or more entries: Try Again"

I've just about had it with this thing. Trying to open a port to host a game has become an exercise in patience.

Solution
1. Go to Amazon / BestBuy / etc
2. Get a cable MODEM (not a gateway) compatible with your ISP, and your service
3. Get a router with whatever features you like.
4. Return that SBG to your ISP, stop paying the monthly fee. In year-and-half, you'll break even with your investment.
