Hi

As mentioned above, I didn't know what a SSHD was until just now.

I've just built a new computer and I need a new hard drive as my 250gb SSD just broke. I will be using it primarily for my Windows 10 and a few games.

Can SSHD's be used as my primary OS drive and also able to store a few games?

Thanks

Well dont waste your money on an SSHD.

If that is the case then I would suggest to get a normal HDD, then partition your drive for OS/Programs under the assumption that you will get another SSD in the future.
SSHD are a complete and utter waste of money.
The small inefficient onboard cache does almost nothing to help load times over a traditional hard drive.
You end up paying a premium over a regular magnetic for a very small performance increase.

You will feel a very steep step down if you are coming from an SSD

The thing is I've just spent over £1000 on my new rig and I can't afford another £150 for a 500GB SSD :(
