System overview:
650W EVGA PSU.
EVGA GTX 1070.
i7 6700.
2x 8 GB 3000 DDR4 RAM.
ASUS Z170-A mobo.
Samsung EVO 500 gb SSD.
I don't get any kind of display output through my HDMI cable to my monitor, and I have confirmed both work. I have tried the checklist. Any ideas as to why it's not doing anything aside from going through the LEDs and then stopping on that one?
Alright so if I take out the graphics card it works. Does that mean my graphics card is busted or is there a hopefully less awful reason?

Well, I think I can explain that red led. It's a new build, right? So the disks are clean. There's nothing to boot from on them, so the LED should be lit. Your machine was working fine all the time, you just could not see that.
