Basicly as the title says , got a skylake hm170 board. Gtx 960m , i7-6700hq cpu. 8 gb ram. Max 32gb ram. Sata 3 hdd 7200 rpm ,6gb t/'s.
As I already know I cant just replace integrated gpu. (Gtx960m)
On my msi ge72 6qd apache pro. But I've noticed that other laptop in ge serie have same board but better gpu. So basicly does that make it possible for me to get a hold of the same motherboard i already have but with higher gpu, and uses this on my laptop?
I may add that my laptop doesn't boot at the moment and I'm gonna have it fixed at a shop

It is possible, but you will have to do a lot of research. You will have to make sure your board and the others are the exact same size and the components are in the same place, otherwise cables might not route to the correct areas and things won't work properly, but in theory, if everything matches up you should be able to do this. You will always be taking a risk when doing something like this because there is no for sure yes or no answer because of so many things that can happen.
